Vianney Caron of Health Canada noted in the July 2010 IRISS eCTD Tool Interoperability Meeting that the only review tool used in actual production by Health Canada reviewers is the LORENZ eReview solution, although some validators are being tested in stand alone environments not connected to the Health Canada network.
"We feel the market will welcome this clarification," said Wolfgang Witzel, President of LORENZ Life Sciences Group and noted that "the LORENZ docuBridge products were selected by Health Canada for the E-REVIEW Project using a competitive tender process. LORENZ docuBridge has been used in production since September 2006, with over a third of its 600 users routinely using LORENZ docuBridge V in their daily work. Health Canada only uses LORENZ products to manage and review over 15,000 sequences, although occasionally experimenting with other systems in limited, isolated test environments."
